July 2 at Vital Zuman Farm! Planting, planting and some more Planting

Not only are we harvesting a bunch of zucchini, mulberries, greens such as chard, spinach, and greens for our salad bags; but we also planting soo much!

Today a group planted a variety of melons, also I planted LOTS of garlic, and Volunteer extrodinaire Ashley planted potatoes!

To plant the garlic all you need is an organic garlic bulb and GREAT top soil and water and Voila! Garlic will start sprouting in a month. For the garlic, i dug a whole about 3 inches deep and then put the whole bulb in the earth, covered the garlic and watered the hole. Then I proceeded  a few inches away with another bulb of garlic!

Easy to do at home!

Cant wait to plant something new next week!
