Planting areas are created by spreading aged, organic compost over field areas with skiploader or with wheel barrow and shovels.  The compost is then rototilled deeply into the topsoil. The resulting beds are excellent for either direct, broadcast seeding or for vegetable starters.  Among the crops being planted right now this Fall are garlic, onions,  potatoes, rutabaga, cilantro, dill, parsnips, chard, collards, kale, radish, endive lettuce, and many more.Come to the Farm this Satuday, October 8th, and join us in seeding  the beds. It will be great fun !   Arrive at 10 am with friends and family, bring a picnic lunch to eat afterwards.
