You want to Wwoof at Vital Zuman this year. VZ has hosted well over 200 Wwoofers since the program’s beginning in The States in 2001.  This is what you need to know :

You need to be self-contained ; bring a tent,  toiletries, kitchen utensils , flashlight, warm wrappings, sturdy foot wear.  We work seven hours a day 5 and a half days a week. Shifts are normally 8am to 3pm. One main hot meal daily at 3pm, with pleanty of food for making your own breakfast and lunch daily.  We feed Wwoofers well. You need, if/when you’re accepted, to locate with the help of farm staff,a quiet, private area in the orchards for your tent, so you can have peace and quiet for sleep or rest in off hours. Short five minute showers in service portch of main community house after 3pm.  VZ is ideally located for Wwoofers : shops, postoffice, gas station, supermarket, beach, hiking trails, busline, etc, just minutes by foot.  Bus stops in front of farm. 10 pm curfew, and you simply need to tell us when you’re leaving and when you’re  returning to spend your free hours off the farm.  Plan to stay two weeks minimum.  Happy, sincere, full-on ag environmnet.  You cmay reach me, Alan G. Cunningham, Vital Zuman, at 310 924-2210 if you have questions not covered here.
